Dr. Edward Farkas, D.D.S. , M.A.
Dr. Edward Farkas has been practicing dentistry in Brooklyn at Ocean Parkway Dental Arts since 1985. Born and raised in Brooklyn himself, Dr. Farkas is a dedicated and much-beloved dentist to thousands of families. His patients are located not only in his Midwood neighborhood, but they also drive from across the tri-state area to see him for his outstanding, personal level of care.
Dr. Farkas is the Founding Dean of Yeshiva University’s College of Dental Medicine following his 7 years as Vice Dean and Professor at Touro College of Dental Medicine where he was instrumental in the college’s creation, its initial accreditation by the Commission on Dental Accreditation, and in designing its state-of-the-art clinical training facility.
Dr. Farkas graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College in 1981, and earned a Doctorate in Dental Science from New York University College of Dentistry in 1985. He received his Master of Arts in Dental Education from Benerd College at the University of the Pacific. As methodical and thorough as Dr. Farkas is with his patients, he also has a ‘need for speed” and can sometimes be found at Monticello Car Club racing around their professional track. But his most joyful times are spent with his family which includes his wife of 35 years, Miriam, his four children and three grandchildren.
Denis Krasilnikov, D.D.S.
Dr. Denis Krasilnikov joined Ocean Parkway Dental Arts in 2019 and has since become an invaluable member of our team. Denis received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University’s College of Dentistry in 2018 after receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Adelphi University in 2014. He elected to further his education by completing a General Practice Residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Krasilnikov provides high quality, comprehensive care to his patients and is proud to be working with Dr. Farkas to take Ocean Parkway Dental Arts into this next era of modern dentistry. “Dr. Denis”, as he prefers to be called, is an avid reader and will most certainly make some book recommendations while you’re in his dental chair. He enjoys all kinds exercise, loves traveling the world, is fluent in both English and Russian, and is a devoted dog dad.
Miriam Farkas
Miriam Farkas has been the driving force behind the success of Ocean Parkway Dental Arts for 35 years. A key component of the dental practice for all these years, Miriam sees all clients as family and loves knowing that they have treated generations of patients for decades. Miriam has been the kind and informed voice you’ve reached on the phone if you’ve called in the middle of the night with a dental emergency. Her managerial acumen keeps Ocean Parkway Dental Arts operating smoothly and efficiently, but it is her incredible warmth that greets patients the moment they come through our doors. Miriam and Edward met while they were attending Brooklyn College together and have simultaneously forged a personal and professional partnership for almost 35 years. They have four children and three grandchildren and enjoy crisscrossing the globe with all of them to enjoy warm beaches and snowy ski slopes.
